Education Modernisation Project
Project name: Education Modernisation Project (www.mon.gov.mk/pmo)
Target Group: Teachers, pedagogues, psychologist, directors of primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Macedonia. By the end of 2007, 700 teachers, pedagogues, psychologist, directors from around 40 schools are trained. Inspectors from State Education Inspectorate have trained too. It is expected that by the end of 2008 will be trained around 1200 teachers, pedagogues, psychologist, and directors from approximately 60 schools.
Activities: Training of teachers, pedagogues, psychologist, and directors about contemporary strategies for teaching and learning, changed role of teacher, assessing students achievements, creative teaching, project cycle management, using of ICT in a classroom, integration of ICT, meaningful usage of ICT in teaching of all subjects.
All 12 submitted training programmes for in-service teacher training for schools of 3, 4, 5, and 6 cohort of schools in the frame of Education Modernisation Project were accepted by the Commission of the Bureaus for Development of Education.
Location: All cities and inhabited places in the Republic of Macedonia
Period: November 2006 – on-going (until the end of 2008)
